Incursions and excursions

Incursions and excursions provide a valuable learning experience for children and an opportunity for meaningful hands on participation. They are a fantastic way to motivate, interest and inspire children in a safe and positive environment.

We believe incursions and excursions are a great opportunity for children to begin to understand the real world and engage with their local communities. In these sessions children are encouraged to ask questions and share ideas. We also welcome and encourage parent participation.

At Glenroy West Kindergarten excursions are included in our four-year-old program. At this age children show strong ability to follow direction and explore concepts which helps build confident and involved learners.

Annual kindergarten incursions include water safety, dental screening and responsible pet ownership. Our excursions include visiting our community library and a local animal land farm.
